The Casting Guild of Australia (CGA) and the Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) are urging actors to exercise caution when engaging with vertical series after concerns about unsafe audition environments.
It follows reports from actors, particularly young women, relating to story content, the common use of minimal or flimsy costumes, and instances where auditions were conducted in private or inappropriate spaces without qualified casting professionals present.
