Entries are now officially open for the Dungog Festival’s 2015 short film competition. After a highly successful inaugural competition last year, the contest returns to the Dungog Festival program in 2015 with six categories on offer, including:
• Still Waters Run Deep – (submissions must contain visual references to water to be eligible)
• Suburban Mayhem
• Sugar Rush (content must be made especially for children)
• The Daily Grind
• Thriller Night
• Too Many Cooks.
A judging panel of four industry professionals will review each film and create a short list of final films that will screen as part of the Dungog Festival’s film program in October.
Submissions close 31 August and finalists will be notified in September, with the winner set to walk away with $1,000 in cash.
“Last year’s entries displayed exceptional talent and we are very excited to see what’s out there this year,” said Dungog Festival Artistic Director, Veronica Bolzon.
Dungog Festival is a regional festival in Dungog, NSW, to be held from 22 – 25 October 2015. Among a varied arts and entertainment program, the Festival features a strong film program of new releases and remastered classics, with a growing short film competition.
To enter the competition, visit www.filmfestivallife.com/Dungog-Festival and upload admissions via the link in one of the accepted formats (a fee of $20 is payable upon submission).
All films must be under 10 minutes in length and must have been shot, edited and completed between January 2014 and 25 August 2015. Entries will not be accepted via post or transfer file. Get in early to avoid missing out!
