Entries now open for the 2016 Australian Production Design Guild Awards

Entries are now open for the 2016 Australian Production Design Guild (APDG) Awards, celebrating excellence in design in live performance and screen.

Closing date for entries is August 26 and the winners will be announced at the APDG's red carpet awards on November 7.

The awards cover 23 categories across production, costume, VFX, animation, VR, interactive, lighting, makeup and hair design in live performance and screen. New additions this year include VR and music clip design. 

Entries are invited for the following categories:

Student Screen Design (production, costume, interactive or animation designer); Emerging Designer for Live Performance (set, costume or lighting); Set Decoration for a Television Production; Title Design; Visual Effects Design; Interactive, Virtual Reality or Game Design; Design for an Animated Short Film, Commercial or Series; Drawing and Concept Illustration; Make-Up, Hair and Prosthetic Make-Up Design; Costume Design for a Feature Film; Costume Design for a Television Production; Costume Design for Live Performance; Design for an Event; Lighting Design for Live Performance; Design for a Commercial; Set Decoration for a Feature Film; Set Design for Live Performance; Production Design for a Television Production; Design for a Short Film or Music Clip; Production Design for a Television Drama; and Production Design for a Feature Film.

Projects that have been completed and were performed or screened for the first time between 1st July 2015 and 30 June 2016 are eligible.
