eOne has sold the broadcast rights to the first series of Winston Steinburger and Sir Dudley Ding Dong to Cartoon Network France and Belgium, as well as Belgian public broadcaster OUFtivi.

The series previously sold to a host of other territories, including Spain, Portugal, UK, Poland, Middle East and North Africa.

The Canadian-Australian co-production was developed and produced by eOne in collaboration with animation studio Sticky Pictures, along with commissioning broadcasters ABC ME and TELETOON Canada.

The 52 x 11 series will air on the Cartoon Network in France and Belgium from February 2017 and on OUFtivi from June 2017.

A gaming app based on the show has also recently launched in Canada and contains levels that are unlocked by codes featured on-screen during episodes.

“We are extremely excited to introduce the hijinks of Winston and friends to kids and families in France and Belgium when the show launches this year," said eOne’s head of international sales, Monica Candiani.

"The growing list of countries now on board is testament to the show’s universal appeal of laughter and adventures."

Winston Steinburger and Sir Dudley Ding Dong follows the adventures of thrill-seeking space kid, Winston Steinburger, his feline best friend, Sir Dudley, and an uptight alien, Hampton, as they explore the galaxy together in a homemade space cruiser.
