Hopscotch rebrands as Entertainment One

Hopscotch Entertainment One will be known solely as Entertainment One, effective 17 March 2014.

Based in Sydney and founded by Frank Cox, Troy Lum and Sandie Don in 2002, Hopscotch grew to be a leading film distributor in the Australian and New Zealand market. Since joining the eOne family in 2011, Hopscotch has continued to thrive and build on its success, with such titles as The Sapphires, Now You See Me, Blue Jasmine, The Walking Dead, Miranda, Hannibal and The Broken Shore.

eOne is a publicly-listed company on the FTSE 250 index of the London Stock Exchange that specializes in the acquisition, production and distribution of film and television content.

The company’s network extends around the globe including Canada, the US, the UK, Ireland, Spain, Benelux, France, Germany, Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and South Korea.

This rebranding marks a significant step towards unifying eOne’s global brands and establishing a strong strategic platform for long term growth for the company in each of its territories. By coming under one strong single brand, the company is better positioned to compete globally and support our partners around the world.

Rest assured that our leadership, team and strategy remain the same. It’s business as usual and we remain focused on showcasing Australian and New Zealand talent on the world’s stage and bringing the best in film and television.
