‘Invisible Boys’ (Trailer)

Adapted from WA author Holden Sheppard’s book of the same name, Invisible Boys is a ten-part drama that explores the challenges faced by a group of gay teens in Geraldton, after one of them is outed on social media following an encounter with a married man. As they form a tight-knit friendship, the boys find solace and support in one another, exploring their desires and identities in a world that often renders them invisible.

The cast includes Joseph Zada (East of Eden), Aydan Calafiore (The Voice 2018), Zach Blampied (New Gold Mountain) and Joe Klocek (Territory), alongside Pia Miranda (Stan Original Film Windcatcher), David Lyons, Shareena Clanton (Wentworth), Myles Pollard (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Elaine Crombie (Top of the Lake), Hayley McElhinney (How to Please a Woman, Doctor Doctor), Steve Le Marquand (Population 11) and Khan Chittenden (Underbelly), alongside newcomers Mercy Cornwall, Jamie Ward, Joanna Tu, Olivia Nardini, Jade Baynes, Luke Jai McIntosh, James Edward Bingham, and James Rock.

Creator and director Nicholas Verso penned the episodes with Verso penned the episodes alongside Sheppard, Enoch Mailangi, Allan Clarke, and Declan Greene, and will also produce with Chambers. Tania Chambers and Verso produced the series for Feisty Dame Productions and Asphodel Films, respectively, with Cailah Scobie and Donna Chang executive producing for Stan.

Screen Australia provided major production investment, while there was financial support from Screenwest, Lotterywest, and the WA Regional Screen Fund. International sales are being handled by Banijay Rights.

All episodes of Invisible Boys will be available on Stan from February 13.
