Makeover headed for Cannes

Press release from Albany Dighton

The Makeover feature film has been selected to screen at this years Cannes Independent Film Festival during the Cannes May fortnight. Numerous films were entered and only a small handful were selected.

The sexy comedy is written and directed by Colm O’Murchu and stars Martin Dingle Wall of Underbelly 2 fame. Martin will star in the upcoming Channel Nine series COPS L.A.C.

The Makeover is about a socially challenged nerd “Rodger Keaton” who is invited to be made over by the guru of male makeovers “Brad Holloway”. Brad has one month to change the beta male Rodger Keaton into a super-stud, pick-up artist and pass him off as the real deal at a celebrity party. Nothing prepares Brad for the challenges or the pain that ensues in Rodgers makeover. Please see trailer on http://www.themakeovermovie.com/

The story takes its inspiration from My Fair Lady and in the few screenings so far it has been loved by audiences and received standing ovations.

The Makeover also stars Lara Cox from Heartbreak High fame and Jeffrey Gannon, star of Malibu Shark Attack. Supporting actors include Natalie Rose, Natalie Murray, Anthony Doyle and Albany Dighton.

The Makeover is represented by a major Los Angeles agency and a cinema release is in the pipeline for late 2010 in Australia.
