Moneypenny today announced important changes to its business operation including a new initiative tailored to first-time and low budget filmmakers.
After 15 years of a shared location, website and direction Moneypenny Production Accounting Services and its namesake, Moneypenny Business & Taxation Services, are formally separating.
Business and Tax will now have a new brand focus and distinctive approach, headed by Jacqui Crouch and Ben Fletcher, known as Generate.
Commenting on this change in direction, Jane Corden, Managing Director of Moneypenny International said: “Moneypenny Production Accounting Services will continue to provide a full range of financial management services to the film, TV, theatre and event industries. Moneypenny and Generate will also continue to share Building 19 at Fox Studios and remain a one-stop-shop in providing both integrated and complimentary services to the mutual benefit of our clients.”
Moneypenny also announced the launch of a new Micro Accounting Package (MAP), an addition to the range of services available to industry practitioners. An affordable plan tailored to first-time and low budget filmmakers, MAP is a combination of software, accounting services and specialist advice that is designed to provide production support and experience.
Also, a Digital Production Manager (DPM) is added to its software suite, which includes the Digital Purchase Order and Digital Start Form. Extras such as Digital Petty Cash and Digital Contract are in development. These solutions will enable easy facilitation for the MAP user as well as deliver enhanced efficiencies to projects with high-end budgets.
Corden added, “In launching the Micro Accounting Package, we aim to provide industry newcomers, working with limited resources, a road MAP that will help them to achieve optimal screen value as well as establishing a skills set that will benefit their long term career.”
