Norman J studios open in South Melbourne

Press release from Norman J

Norman J has relocated it’s studio to the design hub of South Melbourne following four successful years in New York.

Todd Neale, (owner and director) has moved his business and family down under to experience the Australian creative scene and most importantly, to enjoy better coffee and a bigger back yard.

Neale said, "Work and life in NY had its rewards, but I'd always dreamt of finding success in the place I grew up” and "the challenge now is winning over local production while maintaining a global outlook."

Prior to Norman J’s inception, Neale worked for RGA as a designer and at Tröllback & Company as Art Director. Neale’s 12 years working in the US has lead to collaborations with some of the world’s most recognised TV networks including HBO and Sundance Channel.

Neale recognises despite being in a different time zone there is no barrier to creating exciting partnerships around the globe, "The timing is right, clients are more focused on the bottom line and creative resourcefulness than on geographic location".

Norman J’s most recent accolade was an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Graphic Design & Art Direction for work on NY77:
The Coolest Year in Hell. Recent Australian projects include Joico Haircare and Zingka.com.
