Nowhere Boys returns to ABC TV with multiplatform premiere event

PRESS RELEASE

In a first for ABC TV children's programming, the highly anticipated return of the award-winning Nowhere Boys will be a massive multiplatform event.

ABC, ABC3 and ABC iview will simulcast the premiere of the second series of Nowhere Boys on Sunday, November 23 at 6pm.

Keeping the excitement and momentum going, fans can then watch episode two immediately afterwards at 6.30pm on ABC3.

Following this launch event, ABC3 will continue new episodes every Sunday at 6.30pm from November 30, with ABC viewers also able to enjoy the series every Sunday at 6pm.

"Nowhere Boys is an exceptional series which continues to garner accolades and popularity. In an ABC TV first, this multiplatform simulcast provides a fantastic opportunity to introduce this high calibre Australian drama series to a broader ABC audience, in particular families and those who love a good sci-fi action series," said Brendan Dahill, ABC Television Head of Programming.

ABC3 will screen the complete first series daily at 6pm from Monday, November 10, a unique opportunity for new viewers and fans to catch-up on the action adventure.

In the first series of Nowhere Boys four teenage boys, Felix (Dougie Baldwin), Jake (Matt Testro), Sam (Rahart Adams) and Andy (Joel Lok), return from a school excursion to discover they're stuck in a parallel world into which they were never born.

During the second series, the boys have found their way home, but they soon discover the adventure doesn’t stop just because they’re back. As they experiment with their new and unpredictable powers, the boys realise they aren’t the only ones who crossed back to this universe.

The success of Nowhere Boys continues to grow with the recent announcement that it has received a nomination at the Third International Emmy® Kids Awards which will be held New York in February next year.
