Paramount Pictures has advised that Mechele Axford has joined the company to cover for Belinda Evernden, who has left on maternity leave. Axford will work in publicity, particularly on NSW promotions.
Axford recently completed a contract with the Seven Network as Producer’s Assistant on Packed to the Rafters. Prior to this, she spent four years with film production company Sherman Pictures in the role of Producer Assistant/Distribution Co-ordinator working on feature films, including Opal Dream, Oyster Farmer, Candy, Disgrace and the stop-motion animation $9.99. Prior to this, Axford worked for Southern Star Sales & Distribution and the International Film/TV Distributor Fireworks Entertainment Canada.
