Young Australian innovators, Bec Appel and Cameron Duff have launched an online working environment that caters specifically to the needs of the film industry. The website, www.manageyourfilm.com, is a secure production management application and portal for filmmakers.
The site officially went live on November 20th to coincide with launch celebrations held in Melbourne.
The website provides filmmakers with a secure production management solution with no software installation required. Co-founder, Cameron Duff believes “manageyourfilm.com allows crews to stay connected and updated and ensures producers have 24 hour access to critical production information from any location”.
Registered members of www.manageyourfilm.com can create a private online headquarters for their production with the option of inviting cast and crew to view or contribute information. Users can upload files, log and share news updates and generate printer-friendly documents such as scene breakdowns, call sheets, and shooting schedules.
Features include designated department zones, functions for automating key production tasks and tools to manage access levels for each invited member. The manageyourfilm.com application and portal will service production companies, independent filmmakers, students and educational institutions.
As the site has launched in beta stage, the founders are offering a one-month free trial to all newly registered members.
