Former Screen Australia, SAFC and Australian Directors’ Guild executive Richard Harris has joined 113 Partners, a corporate advisory firm which helps businesses in the creative industries to grow and find investment.

Most recently head of business and audience at Screen Australia, Harris is working as business and creative strategist alongside the firm’s CEO Ian Murray.

Its clients include recipients of Enterprise funding from Screen Australia, Screen Queensland and Film Victoria. During the past five years 113 Partners has helped businesses secure more than $5 million in enterprise-type grants, according to Murray. Film and TV firms have accounted for more than a third of its client base.

“I’m excited to be taking on the role with 113 Partners, which is a logical step for me,” Harris said. “I love working with creatives and businesses on strategy and planning and am looking forward to doing so on a direct, one-to-one basis with Ian and his team.”

Murray said: “Richard is renowned for his dedication to fostering the development of individuals and businesses at all levels of the industry. We believe he is an excellent fit with 113 Partners: he shares our passion for growing creative enterprises and has the knowledge and experience to help our clients transform their businesses.”

Separately Harris is developing several film and TV projects with producers.
