ScreenWest offers travel grants for XML in LA

Pitch your cross-platform project to Hollywood
[Release by ScreenWest]

X|Media|Lab (XML) is giving Australian digital media innovators the opportunity to pitch to Hollywood’s powerbrokers at the American Film Institute (AFI) Digital Content Lab on November 6-7 in Los Angeles. Western Australian projects selected to pitch at the Lab are eligible to apply to ScreenWest for a Practitioner Development Travel Grant*.

The AFI Digital Content Lab showcases the best cross-platform ideas, initiatives, and prototypes that have emerged out of Hollywood in 2008. There will be in-depth demonstrations and proto-types from ABC, PBS, HBO, 42 Entertainment, Guitar Hero and much more.

XML, the internationally acclaimed think-tank and creative workshop for digital media professionals, brings a new international dimension to AFI DigiFest, and XML delegates are the only delegates who will have the opportunity to pitch their own digital innovations or proto-types directly to 300 of Hollywood’s leading executives, producers and creatives.

All applications to the AFI DigiFest will be considered, but preference will be given to companies from XML’s Lab locations, which includes Australia.

*ScreenWest travel support will be limited to $2,500 per applicant.
