Shirley Barrett interview

The director of romantic comedy South Solitary, Shirley Barrett, talks about the film ahead of its premiere at the 2010 Sydney Film Festival.

The film tells the story of Meredith (Miranda Otto), who arrives on a remote island with her cantankerous uncle (Barry Otto). He is charged with improving the performance of its resident lighthouse keepers – rogue charmer Harry (Rohan Nichol) and smouldering loner Fleet (Marton Csokas).

The premiere is tonight on June 2 and the film is released in cinemas on July 29.
