SPA’s Ones to Watch program partners with YouTube

Screen Producers Australia will partner with YouTube for this year’s Ones To Watch program, now in its fourth year.

Ones To Watch is a selective entry mentor program for emerging producers from around Australia.

Approximately fifteen participants are selected for the program and provided with one-on-one guidance by a screen-industry mentor to develop their projects and prepare their pitches in the lead up to (and during) the SCREEN FOREVER Conference.

This year, YouTube will provide participants with access to creative workshops and networks, and one participant will head to LA to take part in training at YouTube Space LA.

“YouTube’s partnership reflects their commitment to nurturing and growing our creative future and reflects the importance of ensuring producers are adapting to the changing media and content landscape,” said SPA's chief executive, Matthew Deaner.

“This year’s Ones To Watch program will be complimented by further professional development aimed at our emerging producers and ongoing support throughout the year to help our creative talent advance their career.”

YouTube joins major partner SBS, Government partners Screen Australia, Screen NSW, ScreenWest and supporting partners Screenrights, The Production Book [an IF stablemate], Film Finances and Final Draft.

Applications for Ones To Watch close Friday, April 8.
