David Haslingden's interactive preschool network ZooMoo has become the first kids' service to launch on Telstra TV.
ZooMoo is part of Haslingden’s Racat group, which includes NHNZ, Singapore’s Beach House Pictures, Keshet Australia and Northern Pictures.
Previously, Haslingden was president and chief operating officer of Fox Networks Group.
Prior to this appointment, he was chief executive of Fox International Channels.
He also served as chief executive of the National Geographic Channels business.
ZooMoo is “All Animals All the Time” – with a crew of animal puppet hosts, a combination of wildlife footage and narrative techniques that aim to enhance children’s love of animals.
Zoo Moo Networks founder and chief executive, Haslingden, said he was delighted to expand the network's Australian audience in a new partnership with Telstra TV.
"With “ZooMoo” we are committed to delivering engaging and fun programming content that develops and fosters a love and respect for nature and wildlife in kids, after all they are our greatest custodians,” he said.
Telstra director at Home Media, Serkan Honeine said: “As the first streaming device in Australia to include all three streaming services – Stan, Presto and Netflix – plus all five free-to-air catch up apps and movie rentals through BigPond Movies, Telstra TV is the simple way for families to access amazing content," he said.
"We’re very proud to be expanding our Telstra TV offering with the addition of “ZooMoo” as it provides a great interactive entertainment option for kids at home,” added
The ZooMoo television viewing experience is tied in with a free ZooMoo App available on both the App store and Google Play to provide a multiplatform experience that allows ZooMoo viewers to collect animals they encounter on the TV screen and bring them to life on mobile devices with games, music, puzzles and other activities.
