International Sales Agent LevelK is looking for a paid intern to start in January 2017. 

A digital distributor as well as sales agent, LevelK is headquartered in Copenhagen and has offices in Hong Kong and, as of 2016, in Sydney.

The company has worked with Aussie titles since its inception in 2009, including Kieran Darcy-Smith's Wish You Were Here – LevelK's first acquisition – as well as The Little Death, The Rocket and The Turning.

"We are really excited about working on the ground here in Australia with our partners, and [having] the chance to provide the successful applicant with an opportunity to gain experience in this field," LevelK Australia director Alexandra Burke told IF.

The internship is open to women only and is supported by Screen Australia's Gender Matters – Brilliant Careers program. 

It will involve close work with the LevelK sales team – Tine Klint in Copenhagen and Derek Lui in Hong Kong.

Tasks will range from basic administrative and sales assistance through to more involved work with projects in development, PR and marketing, digital aggregation and distribution, and international market research and development. 

The successful applicant must be available for one month's travel, from January 20, 2017, to work in the Copenhagen office of LevelK with the sales team in the lead-up to the Berlin Film Festival.

The intern will attend the Berlinale as well as the Gothenburg International Film Festival in Sweden to meet Nordic industry and International buyers. 

Earlier this year, LevelK acquired the rights to director Luke Shanahan's thriller Rabbit, starring Adelaide Clemens (The Great Gatsby) and Alex Russell (Goldstone), currently shooting in SA. Other LevelK titles include Downriver and Teenage Kicks.

POSITION: International Sales and Distribution Internship.

DURATION: 1 year, part-time. Approx. 10 Hours a week. 

START DATE: January 9, 2017.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Paid. Includes overseas travel for 1 month to work with the team in the head office in Copenhagen, and attend Gothenburg International Film Festival and Berlin International Film Festival.

REPORTING TO: Sales Manager and CEO.
