The Australian Academy has opened entries for the 2025 AACTA Awards, to be held on the Gold Coast.

All award categories from the previous year will return, with additional details regarding awards for VFX and digital/online content set to be announced in the coming months.

This will be the second year the prestigious ceremonies will be held on the Gold Coast alongside the 2025 AACTA Festival.

Key dates are as follows:

July 15: Short Film Entries Close
August 12: Documentary Entries Close
October 7: Television/Streaming Entries Close
October 14: Film Entries Close
