ScreenWest is calling on filmmakers to apply for $750,000 worth of funding as part of its West Coast Visions development program.
West Coast Visions is a development initiative offering $750,000 of production investment funding for up to one feature film project per year.
It is one of ScreenWest's largest funds and is designed to uncover filmmakers and projects.
ScreenWest is calling for applications from Western Australian creative teams with well-developed, low-budget feature films intended to be shot within one year of receiving funding.
Applicants will need a well-developed, budget-savvy and marketable feature film surrounded by a team that can deliver the creative and logistical challenges of the project submitted.
To be eligible to apply for West Coast Visions, it must be the first time for at least one of the Western Australian key creatives (producer, director, writer) to be credited in this position on a feature film.
This highly competitive will enlist high-level industry professionals in the decision-making process.

ScreenWest has number programs that come with development funding.
​The Feature Film Development Track Fund provides project development funding to Western Australian scripted features at various milestones for up to one consecutive year.
Successful applicants will work toward quality, creative feature film projects with strong Western Australian outcomes that are capable of reaching their target audience and attracting further investment and/or market interest.
This funding program provides two intakes per financial year.
Applications for the second intake close on April 18 at 5pm.
Successful applicants may be offered up to a maximum of $25,000 per applicant per assessment stage.
They may apply for additional funding at up to three subsequent milestones to a maximum of $50,000 over the course of the track year.
The Production Company maximum per financial year of $50,000 applies across the following development funds: Feature Film Development, Emergency Development, and Documentary and Television Development.
The Documentary and Television fund supports development of factual programming and scripted television series.
Applicants may apply for up to $25,000 per application. Demonstrated interest from a broadcast or distribution partner is strongly encouraged.

The Interactive Development Fund provides development funding for interactive, digital projects intended for a national and/or international audience.
Projects submitted under this fund will need to have a well-defined narrative that will engage audiences on a digital platform and/or screen-based device.
For the Interactive development fund, applicants may apply for up to $10,000 per application.
While the Digital Extension Development Fund encourages experienced WA digital producers to work with experienced production companies to develop the creative, technical and market potential of substantial digital outcomes associated with a feature film or television project in development that is intended for national/international broadcast or commercial distribution.
For the Digital Extension development fund, applicants may apply for up to $10,000 per application.
The Interactive Production Fund provides production funding for interactive, multi-platform projects (Interactive Project) intended for a national and/or international audience. Projects will need to have a well-defined narrative that will engage audiences on a digital platform and/or screen-based device.
Applicants may apply for up to $100,000 per application.
