Caveman Calling.
Port Adelaide based filmmaker, Scott Baskett, is set to premiere his latest documentary Caveman Calling as part of the South Australian Screen Awards.
The 56-minute film will screen at the Media Resource Centre on Saturday May 14.
Caveman Calling follows the story of Pete, who is a fish out of water in the modern day world.
He longs for a simpler existence.
Set at his hunting ranch in the rugged North Island mountains of New Zealand, Pete takes an group of Gen Y characters, both men and women on a Caveman Adventure.
The aim is simple, dress like a caveman, hunt like Caveman and try not to cry yourself to sleep at night.
The concept of the caveman adventure is simple: Can modern man hunt in a pack with little more than a loin cloth, handmade weapons and thousands of years of evolution on their side?
Scott Baskett said he really wanted to play the role of observer in this film and let the audience decide what they felt about it, "rather than have me impose my views."
"This film is more about having a conversation rather than passing judgement."
