CBS Studios International will hold a three-day intense workshop for Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune licensees from around the world.
The workshop will take place February 3 – 5 at Sony Studios in Culver City, the studio where both shows are produced.
Attendees will include licensees from Azerbaijan, Denmark, Russia, Spain, Algeria, Serbia, Brazil, France, Indonesia, Turkey, the U.K and Australia – where both formats are currently dormant.
The workshop will focus on building audiences, reducing production budgets, and monetizing the production through social media, online interactivity, mobile applications and trade-outs.
It will also give a unique glimpse into vital elements of the show like casting, contestant briefing, direction and streamlining the production.
Since both Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune will be in production during the workshop, time will be spent on set, backstage and in the control room.
“As two of the most popular game show formats in the world, we’re excited to be giving licensees the opportunity to learn more about what makes these formats such successes on U.S. television,” said CBS Studios International's senior vice president of international formats, Paul Gilbert.
“Along with insights into the U.S. formats, it will also be a chance for licensees to share best practice methods from their productions, making the workshop interactive and informative for all attendees.”
