The Australian Writers’ Guild is inviting submissions for the 55th Annual AWGIE Awards, a night that will recognise outstanding scripts from 2021 and celebrate the community of screen and stage writers at the heart of the Australian industry.

Entries are open to eligible screen, stage, interactive & gaming and audio works that finished principal photography or production or had a first performance between January 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021 (please check individual categories for specific eligibility criteria).

Major updates to categories for this year include:

• Theatre – Stage has been split into Original and Adapted.
• Audio has been split into Fiction and Non-Fiction.
• The Television Series and Miniseries categories have been changed to Series and Limited Series or Telemovie.
