After the anni horribiles that were 2020 and 2021, 2022 has been a big return to form for cinema. To celebrate, ACMI’s screening its best films of 2022, spanning features, documentary and animation from Australia and around the world. Program highlights include Ruben Östlund’s Triangle of Sadness, Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Memoria, Jonas Poher Rasmussen’s Flee and Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths. Australian selections include Goran Stolevski’s You Won’t Be Alone and James Vaughn’s Friends and Strangers.
