The inaugural Adelaide Independent Film Festival will comprise 90 minutes of short films from local, national and international filmmakers.

There are eight awards to be won, including the Audience Award. Audience members can vote for the best short film from the inaugural edition’s line-up by scanning a QR code on their smartphones. The City of Unley has sponsored the prize for best film with a $500 cash prize.

2023 Adelaide Independent Film Festival Details:

• Commences from 2 pm

• Pre-screening entertainment with music and the contemporary visual artist Nasim Nasr’s work presented in the foyer

• A 15-minute Wurlitzer Theatre Organ performance

• A 90-minute short film programme

• Beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available at the bar

• Intermission

• Awards and speeches on stage with the Mayor of Unley

• Discounted tickets available for the City of Unley residents and current SA film students

• A dedicated category for short films made within the City of Unley
