The 3rd annual AIDC Awards will return in 2023, with the ceremony to be held on the closing night of AIDC 2023 on Wednesday, March 8 at ACMI in Melbourne.

The AIDC Awards categories celebrate the talent and expertise of Australian content creators across long and short-form documentary and factual content, as well as non-traditional areas of audio documentary and other forms of documentary storytelling through new and emerging media.

Submissions are now being taken in the following categories:

1. Best Feature Documentary
2. Best Documentary/Factual Series
3. Best Documentary/Factual Single
4. Best Short-Form Documentary
5. Best Audio Documentary ($3,000 cash prize presented by AFTRS)
6. Best Interactive/Immersive Documentary

AIDC’s annual $5,000 Stanley Hawes Award, recognising outstanding long-term contribution to the documentary, factual or unscripted screen sector, is also open for nominations by AIDC members.

Submissions for 2023 AIDC Awards will close Wednesday, November 23.
