The Other Film Festival and Arts Access Victoria have come together to present Flaunt – an online, accessible film program available for streaming on demand via ACMI’s Cinema 3, as part of the Alter State Festival.

All Flaunt films are made by deaf and disabled people either as key creatives, collaborators, and performers, with the entire program free to watch, audio described, and captioned.

The Other Film Festival is proudly disability-led, with a festival team including artistic director Fiona Tuomy and guest curator Kath Duncan, curator of the Flaunt program.

Films screening as part of Flaunt – The Other Film Festival are as follows:

I Didn’t See You There: A film essay exploring the gaze of everyday spectacle, disabled identity, and the legacy of the Freak Show.

Charm Circle: A cinéma vérité portrait of an eccentric New York family navigating the chaos that divides them.

The Do’s & Don’ts of Getting Married: A disability-positive romantic comedy, which doesn’t take marriage for granted.

Dry Fire: A young Deaf woman fights for survival in a post-apocalyptic future.

Sparkles: A proud disabled woman makes her own way in the world.

Imagined Touch: Two Deafblind women live out their wildest dreams, as stars of an award-winning theatre show.

My One-Legged Dream Lover: Super Amputee Kath Duncan boldly explores the world of fetish back in 1990s USA.

Archiving the Body: An experimental dance film like no other.

The program of international and Australian films will screen from Thursday, September 29 – Thursday, October 6.
