Flickerfest will return to a revamped Bondi Pavilion for 2023, showcasing a mix of domestic and international talent.

Now in its 32nd year, the ten-day event will screen 200 short films that have been handpicked from a pool of more than 3,000 entries across 29 dedicated festival programs.

The in-competition shorts will vie for prizes including the Flickerfest Award for Best International Short Film, the Yoram Gross Award for Best International Animation, the Panasonic Lumix for Best Australian Short Film, and the Flickerfest
Award for Best Documentary, all of which are Academy qualifying.

Audiences will also be treated to a celebration of youth filmmaking from across Australia as part of SAE FlickerUp, along with LBTQI films in the Rainbow Shorts, and special showcases of kids and family-friendly films (FlickerKids), films about relationships (Love Bites), and comedies (Short Laughs).

Following the festival in Sydney, Flickerfest will tour over 50 venues across Australia between February and October 2023.
