Presented by the Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) and Merri-bek City Council, the Glenroy Film Festival is designed to showcase some of the world’s best cinema.

Specially curated by the MIFF team, the event features new, recent, and classic films in Arabic, English, Italian, Nepali, and Urdu, reflecting the diversity of the Glenroy community.

This year’s highlights include Osamah Sami’s Ali’s Wedding, Sujit Bidari’s Butterfly on the Windowpane, Stéphane Aubier, Vincent Patar, and Benjamin Renner’s Ernest & Celestine, Haifaa al-Mansour’s Wadjda, Omar Mullick and Bassam Tariq’s These Birds Walk, Alberto Lattuada’s Mafioso, and Jub Clerc’s Sweet As.

The festival is open to everyone and screenings are free, but bookings are essential. All films in language will be subtitled in English.
