Gold Coast Film Festival 2023

April 19, 2023 - April 30, 2023

Celebrating its 21st year, the Gold Coast Film Festival (GCFF) will be held at HOTA from April 19 to 30.

Tickets are on sale now for the festival’s marquee events, which include the Opening Night Red Carpet Gala Premiere, Screen Industry Gala Awards, and the Women In Film Lunch, with the full program to be launched with all ticket sales on March 16.

The Red Carpet will be rolled out for Opening Night on Wednesday, April 19 from 6pm for the Queensland Premiere of Polite Society.

From director Nida Manzoor, the action comedy stars Priya Kansara and Ritu Arya in a story that follows a British Pakistani teenager (and aspiring stuntwoman) who attempts to save her older sister from a semi-arranged marriage by performing an elaborate heist.

It will be followed by the Screen Industry Gala Awards at Warner Bros. Movie World on Thursday, featuring the presentation of the Chauvel Award along with the 2023 Gold Coast Film Festival Screen Industry Awards.

The action heads to the QT Gold Coast on Friday for the GCFF Women In Film Lunch.

Presented by Screen Queensland, the sell out event carries the tradition of celebrating stories, perspectives, and experiences of women in the screen industry.

For a second year, GCFF is excited to announce the on-ground involvement of festival ambassador and Gold Coaster, Lincoln Lewis.
