Australia’s biggest regional short film festival, Heart of Gold, has announced a significant expansion for a special 2022 edition.

Alongside four days of international and Australian short films, the festival – held in Gympie, Queensland – will host a future of cinema pavilion with VR and video art works, and an outdoor festival hub featuring live music and storytelling with a focus on film, First Nations storytelling and the environment.
