Queer Screen Pitch Off: Submissions
August 28, 2022
Queer Screen Pitch Off offers Australian LGBTIQ+ filmmakers up to $10,000 of funding for the production of a short film (narrative, documentary, or a stand-alone web series pilot) dealing with the experiences of people of diverse genders and sexualities. To qualify, all film projects submitted must meet the eligibility requirements.
After an initial assessment of all eligible film projects, up to six filmmakers will be chosen to spruik their film proposal to a panel of expert assessors.
Finalists will have no longer than five minutes to pitch their proposal and impress the panel and public, so they would do well to make their time count.
Additionally in 2022, all finalists will receive free script consultation from Matthew Dabner, Lecturer in Media Arts and Production at UTS, and renowned script editor, writer, and producer.
Successful candidates will be notified by Monday 19th September, 2022 and will be required to attend the Pitch Off event on Sunday 2nd October, 2022, which will be hosted online.
The application deadline for Queer Screen Members is September 4 and August 28 for non-members.
