SIGGRAPH Asia 2023

Sydney will host the 16th edition of ACM SIGGRAPH Asia, welcoming a global gathering of tech and creative luminaries from December 12 to 15.
The annual conference and exhibition, which is expected to draw technical experts from over 40 countries, carries the theme of Connecting Stories to highlight the importance of storytelling and communication across diverse fields.
Keynote speakers include WIDE Project founder and Keio University professor Jun Murai and Academy Award-winningWētā FX senior VFX supervisor Joe Letteri, while NVIDIA’S Bryan Catanzaro, Industrial Light & Magic’s Rob Bredow, Netflix’s Paul Debevec of Netflix, and Wētā FX’s Sabine Laimer and Robin Hollander are also scheduled to speak.
New to this year’s conference is a Junior Computer Animation Festival, open to junior (8 – 13 yrs) and senior (14 – 18 yrs) participants, as well as a Super Speed Connectivity for Digital Twins program, designed to showcase the integration the online and physical realms through extended reality and Digital Twins.
There is also a suite of returning segments, such as the Demoscene, the Doctoral Consortium, the Educator’s Forum, the Computer Animation Festival, the Art Gallery, and the Emerging Technologies program.
