The South African Film Festival (SAFF) will be held from May 4-31 across Australia and New Zealand.

Now in its 5th year, the hybrid event showcases the very best of contemporary South African film to antipodean audiences, presented through in-cinema screenings and on their online platform.

Net proceeds from the festival support Education Without Borders (EWB), a not-for-profit organisation that has been providing educational programs for students from under-resourced and socially disadvantaged communities in the Western Cape of South Africa since 2002.

This year’s program focuses on showcasing inspiring and eye-opening stories that highlight the experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community, promoting greater visibility and representation in the film industry.

In-cinema screenings will be held at Randwick Ritz cinema from May 4-11, with the online festival taking place from May 11-31.
