Screenworks and Australian International Screen Forum in New York have opened applications for their Write from Home Screenwriting program.

Now in its third year, Write From Home 2023 will connect eight regional Australian screenwriters with New York-based industry professionals to create international opportunities for them and their projects. This program will be delivered weekly via zoom and is specifically designed for mid-career writers who are ready to develop their original screenplay under the guidance of a select group of mentors.

Confirmed mentors include Timothy Cooper (founder and owner, Blueprint Screenwriting Group), Joey Tuccio (founder and CEO, Roadmap Writers) and Nitza Wilon and Elizabeth Kaiden (co-founders, The Writers Lab and Women in the Script Trade), Chris Beale (Ulladulla Films), Mike Gabrawy (producer of Hotel Mumbai, Resident Evil and Jungle), Holly Hines (founder and owner, Happy Accidents) and Elliott Whitton (Fit Via Productions). More advisors will be announced later this month.

Selected applicants will be notified by July 26.
