The Channel Lab: Short Cuts

Screen Queensland is calling for applications from emerging practitioners from across the state to create innovative scripted, factual or artistic vertical content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and TikTok. It will support up to 10 emerging Queensland teams with $10,000 each to develop and produce an innovative vertical series. Over the five-month program, participants will also receive guidance from industry professionals through in-depth online workshops to support the critical development, production and release stages for the selected projects.

Showdown Showfest

The two-day red-carpet event will premiere six short films locally-produced by the Sunny Coast Showdown team and presented by Bendigo Bank Community Bank. They will compete for the festival’s prize gong, the Gold Yewwy award. Screen SongHubs 2024: Submissions

Established and emerging screen composers, who identify as women and gender-diverse music creators, are invited to apply for Paramount Australia and APRA AMCOS's Screen Songhubs sessions, to be held July 24-26 at Sydney’s Church Street Studios. Participants will be immersed in scoring tracks for consideration in productions currently under development, including The Dog House and Aussie Shore.
