AIDC The FACTory

The FACTory is the Australian International Documentary Conference's (AIDC) international pitching showcase for new documentary and factual projects. Up to 15 projects with strong market potential will be selected to pitch to international and local decision makers across three strands: Central Showcase, New Talent Showcase and Rough Cut Showcase. Decision makers come from a range of backgrounds and include funders, buyers, broadcasters, sales agents and distributors.

AIDC Awards

The inaugural Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) Awards have been established to recognise the outstanding completed works of new Australian documentary and factual content. There will be six prizes: Best Feature Documentary; Best Documentary/Factual Series; Best Documentary/Factual Single, Best Audio Documentary; Best Short-Form Documentary, which includes a $5,000 cash prize, supported by the Documentary Australia Foundation and the Best Interactive/Immersive Documentary, which includes a $3,000 cash prize co-presented by Jumpgate and Deakin University.

AIDC Stanley Hawes Award

The $5,000 Stanley Hawes Award is presented annually at the Australian International Documentary Conference (AIDC) to a person who has made an outstanding contribution to the Australian documentary, factual or unscripted screen sector.

AIDC Cut to the Chase

Cut to the Chase is the Australian Documentary Conference's curated marketplace, carefully matching producers and decision makers for optimum outcomes with no time-wasting. An online event for 2021, Cut to the Chase will continue to allow decision makers and projects to make meaningful connections through one-on-one meetings.
