New South Wales Film & Television Office Chief Executive Tania Chambers has congratulated Writer/Director David Michod and Producers Angie Fielder and Polly Staniford whose film, Crossbow, won the Film Victoria Erwin Rado Award for Best Australian Short Film at the Melbourne International Film Festival.
Crossbow was produced with a grant from the FTO’s Young Filmmaker Fund.
‘As well as winning this important prize, Crossbow has been selected for the Sydney, Brisbane and Venice Film Festivals. This is a considerable list of achievements for this young NSW filmmaking team,’ Ms Chambers said.
‘The FTO’s Young Filmmaker Fund has, for more than 10 years, identified the best emerging talent in this State and Crossbow is yet another example of the significant success that many of the Young Filmmaker Fund films have achieved over the years.’
