When Charlie Vickers auditioned for Prime Video’s The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power in April 2019, he initially went for the part of Elrond, a character played by fellow Australian actor Hugo Weaving in Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings film trilogy.
His self tape consisted of a long monologue as someone trying to avoid battle, recited opposite casting director Theo Parker.
