Stage and Screen partners TTOC in sponsorship program

[Release by Stage and Screen]

Entertainment travel logistics specialist, Stage and Screen Travel Services, has partnered with Australia’s new Technical Television Operators College (TTOC) in a national sponsorship program.

Stage and Screen will provide travel and logistics services to trainers and students of the Sydney-based College, which is Australia’s first vocational training facility specialising in television and broadcast production.

General manager of Stage and Screen Travel Services Australia, Mike Dungan, said the sponsorship program was an ‘investment’ in the future of Australia’s television industry.

“We will provide travel planning, bookings and logistics to help TTOC trainers and their students work on-site at some of the biggest sporting, entertainment and television events across the country,” he said.

“We’re thrilled to be able to play a supportive role in shaping the industry’s future leaders.”

Peter Musgrove, general manager of TTOC, said the College provided the training desperately needed to address Australia’s skills shortage in the television and broadcast production field.

“Fundamental to our training is the fact that we take our students to real-life production jobs. Until now, we have been restricted to projects in Sydney. With Stage and Screen’s sponsorship of airfares and accommodation, we can now send trainers and their students to other parts of Australia for hands-on involvement in other major projects.

“Stage and Screen has become a very real contributor to broadening our horizons and maximising the opportunities and experience for TTOC’s students.”
