Australian country music star, Samantha McClymont is set to co-host the 2015 Schools Spectacular, which will be broadcast on Channel Nine on December 5.
McClymont, who is also starring in Nine’s new series of Farmer Wants a Wife will co-host and perform with her sisters, The McClymonts, at the 32nd instalment of the NSW Department of Education’s flagship performing arts event, which showcases up and coming talent from across New South Wales.
Joe Moore, The Voice runner-up this year, will also headline the event, debuting a new single from his chart-topping album, A Thousand Lifetimes.
This Schools Spectacular, the last one held at the Qantas Credit Union Arena, will be hosted by John Foreman and feature almost 3,600 of NSW’s most talented young singers, dancers and musicians in the most anticipated school musical event of the year.
They have been selected after an extensive audition process for the 1,300-voice choir, 80-piece orchestra, and 2,000 dancers and soloists from the age of five to 18 in a dazzling display of music, dance and pageantry.
Schools Spectacular has produced amazing talent over the years including winner of The Voice 2014 Anja Nissen, international super group Human Nature and folk indie duo Angus and Julia Stone.
Telecast on the Nine Network since 2013, the Schools Spectacular has been enjoyed by more than 1.1 million viewers and has won its Sydney timeslot for two years running.
