AFTRS student wins Australian Screen Sound Guild Award

Avid Australia is pleased to announce that the Avid-sponsored 2007 Australian Screen Sound Guild (ASSG) Student Encouragement Award has been won by Tim Chaproniere, a final-year student at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School (AFTRS).
 
The award was presented at this year’s ASSG’s Excellence in Screen Sound Awards ceremony by Julius Chan, Audio Product Manager at Avid Australia. Tim Chaproniere is currently in the final stages of the AFTRS’s Master of Arts in Sound Design course.
 
As part of his award, Tim was presented with a Digidesign Structure Professional Sampler workstation for Pro Tools, and a limited release Avid Australia ICON bomber jacket.
 
‘It was great to win the award and was a bonus to get the Structure Professional Sampler workstation for Pro Tools, which I’ll put to good use on my upcoming film sound projects,’ said Tim.
