Western Australian producers are invited to attend the launch of the ScreenWest ABC Matched Prime Time Television Production Fund at 9:30am on Friday July 4 at the Subiaco Arts Centre.
The Matched Production Fund will be used for the development, production, broadcast and promotion of Primetime Drama and Documentary production for the ABC.
The Fund aims to:
• provide production funding in order to generate significant independent primetime drama and documentary production in Western Australia;
• provide support to Western Australian resident production entities;
• contribute to a critical mass of independent production needed to assist sustained industry growth in Western Australia;
• support primetime project development to selected productions (of up to $25,000 per application), where this is matched in amount by the ABC and adequate funds are available.
The ABC’s Executive Head Content Creation, Courtney Gibson and Head of Policy and Administration, Michael Ward, will be in Perth to present an information session and answer questions about the guidelines.
The presentation will be followed by morning tea and coffee.
