Los Angeles-based organisation Australians in Film has announced the establishment of an annual scholarship to young Australian actors to help expand their careers in the US. Named in honour of the late Heath Ledger, the scholarship’s first recipient will be announced in 2009.
In other Australians in Film news, a Beverley Hills function on June 5 will honour Stop Loss star Abbie Cornish and former All Saints actress Mia Wasikowska with this year’s Breathrough Awards.
