THE POST LOUNGE OPENS DOORS TO NEW FACILITY IN SYDNEY

Full service post production and VFX provider, The Post Lounge continues to strengthen its position as the post-production house of choice after opening a new facility in Sydney’s Redfern alongside visual effects partners Resin.

The Sydney facility is the largest of The Post Lounge’s three locations boasting 2,000sqm of creatively-inspired edit suites, sound rooms, ADR recording, grading theatres, mix facilities, and production office space. Existing facilities include the custom-built Woolloongabba facility in Brisbane led by General Manager, Bronwyn Ketels, and the bespoke Melbourne studio in Collingwood managed by Longform Business Director, Dan Lake.

Sydney-based Managing Director, Kurt Royan said the new flagship facility in Redfern is fully equipped for 4K+ HDR mastering and theatrical DI, full end to end picture and sound post production, both in-house and remote dailies, data services, and edit suite rental, and will offer world class Dolby Atmos mix suites to ensure sound post meets the latest international standards.

The expansion to Sydney was a natural progression for the business that already has an established network of Sydney-based clients who were eager to have The Post Lounge’s unique brand of post production services brought locally. That specialty includes working on projects at all budget levels – from local factual projects, to the largest international features for US Studios, and everything in between. Sydney talent at The Post Lounge include Head of Sound, Stuart Morton, who has worked on Oscar, BAFTA and Emmy award winning sound teams.

“Since opening our doors in Sydney last year, the demand has been unprecedented. We have already finished a number of feature films and episodic projects. The volume of interest we’ve had confirms the need for an additional option for post production in the Sydney market. We are the only post-production house with studios in three major capital cities (Resin also offers VFX in Adelaide) and can now tap into all three state funding body’s incentives which offers maximum flexibility to our clients,” Kurt said.

Recognised both internationally and domestically for their exceptional post production capabilities and, in particular, the ability to maintain high creative standards, The Post Lounge also boasts excellent technical standards aiming to serve customers at a level that is designed to exceed expectations.

“At capacity, our facilities will consist of 32 digital edit and sound suites including a 50 seat grading theatre, a 4K HDR grading suite for high end broadcast and a Dolby Atmos sound mixing theatre. This is an exciting time to work in this industry and I am thrilled to lead The Post Lounge into what will be an incredibly bright future” Kurt said.
