Ron Johanson ACS was elected as the new Federal President of the Australian Cinematographers Society at the Annual General Meeting in Sydney on Sunday 21 September.
Ron was elected to the position following the decision of Ted Rayment ACS to stand down following the ACS50 Celebrations and after five years in the role.
Ron also holds other roles in both the Federal Executive and the Queensland committee.
Ron was inducted into the ACS Hall of Fame in 2003 and was made a Life Member of the Society in 2007 following his many years of dedicated service to both Queensland branch and the Federal Executive.
In other branch changes Alan Cole ACS takes over as Victorian Branch President, Erine Clark ACS takes over as SA Branch President; and the founding NT Branch President David Curl steps aside for Chris Tangey.
