Over 80 Australian documentary film makers have signed a petition in support of Julian Assange and Wikileaks.
The filmmakers urge Prime Minister Julia Gillard "to confirm publicly Australia’s commitment to freedom of political communication."
Prominent filmmakers include Daryl Dellora, Sally Ingleton, Tom Zubrycki, Dione Gilmour, John Hughes, John Moore, Trevor Graham, Sue Maslin, Margot Nash and seventy-five others.
They add their signatures to the 5000+ strong petition addressed to Prime Minister Julia Gillard on the ABC's website.
