The Women in Media National Conference will be held in Sydney for the first time this year, with female media professionals from across the country set to gather for workshops and opportunities to engage in meaningful discussion.

Held across September 8 and 9, the conference lineup includes speeches from Ita Buttrose, Leigh Sales, and 2023 Australian of the Year Taryn Brumfitt, who will appear in-conversation with Natalie Barr.

There are also panel discussions centred topics such as Advancing Gender Equality, Mythbusting in Advertising, Business in Media, Remaking the Rules, Sport’s Outsized Impact, Tech Implications, Advantages and Alarm Bells, Driving Female Narratives, and a recording of comedy podcast A Rational Fear.

Sandra Sully will MC the first day of the conference while Sarah Abo will MC the second day.
