Gold Coast Film Festival 2024 – Submissions

The Gold Coast Film Festival (GCFF) is inviting submissions for the 2024 event, to be held from April 17 to 28. Filmmakers and scriptwriters have the opportunity to showcase their talent across feature films, short films, and Queensland feature film scripts. GCFF encourages entries from independent filmmakers and films with creative leads from First Nations and under-represented backgrounds. Feature and short films from Australian and international filmmakers will also be accepted.

Dome Under Festival

Dome Under Festival returns to the Melbourne Planetarium at Scienceworks in February, offering a weekend of fulldome films. Unlike traditional cinema experiences, the fulldome films will unfold across the entire 16-metre domed ceiling of the Melbourne Planetarium, providing a hemispherical view, coupled with a state-of-the-art 5.1 surround sound system. The Australian Writers' Guild's John Hinde Award for Excellence in Science-Fiction Writing is currently open, celebrating the development and showcasing of sci-fi screenwriting for feature film, television, web series, audio and interactive media.
