The Children's International Film Festival (CHIFF) is back with a month-long celebration of cinema designed to captivate and inspire young audiences and their families. The CHIFF program features 18 Australian premiere titles, a program of family short films and special events tailored to young filmgoers aged from three years old and up.

The best cinema from Spain and Latin America. This year’s festival centrepiece is The Teacher Who Promised The Sea (El Maestro que Prometió el Mar), winner of the Audience Prize at the 2024 Gaudí Awards.

The Channel Lab: Short Cuts

Screen Queensland is calling for applications from emerging practitioners from across the state to create innovative scripted, factual or artistic vertical content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and TikTok. It will support up to 10 emerging Queensland teams with $10,000 each to develop and produce an innovative vertical series. Over the five-month program, participants will also receive guidance from industry professionals through in-depth online workshops to support the critical development, production and release stages for the selected projects.

Bus Stop Films 2024 Inclusive Producers Attachment Program: Submissions

Bus Stop Films is inviting applications for its Inclusive Producers Attachment Program. At least eleven emerging producers from seven states will be selected to work as producer attachments on Bus Stop Films 2024 class film projects, working with the organisation's in-house producer, Dianna La Grassa, to bring to life a slate of 19 inclusively made short films from Bus Stop’s Accessible Film Studies Program.
